Public Area Attendant - Temporary

Public Area Attendant – Temporary (Inside Higher Ed) – University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel – Employee – Up to 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 8:00‑4:30 pm, Saturday‑Sunday 9:00‑5:30 pm, with occasional overtime during events. Anticipated start date: 07/17/2022. Salary: $15.40 per hour minimum (commensurate with experience).

• Clean and maintain all public restrooms, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
• Vacuum all lobbies, hallways, entrances, and offices regularly (daily for high‑traffic areas, weekly for offices).
• Pick up trash from lobbies, hallways, entrances, and offices daily.
• Dust window frames, doors, pictures, tables, and clean glass windows from the inside.

• Hotel cleaning or custodial experience.
• Experience in customer service or guest interaction.

• Proficiency with cleaning products and vacuum equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

This position is physically demanding; candidates must be able to lift or move at least 35 lb, push, pull, or roll a 75 lb cart, work in tight spaces, and perform repetitive motions such as reaching, bending, and kneeling. The job requires standing for extended periods and walking or climbing stairs.
