Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a building services worker or custodian.

Position Summary

Perform manual work in a variety of cleaning and related duties in and around Athletic buildings and facilities.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.

Physical Demands

Squat, bend, lift approximately 40lbs, see, hear, lift arms, push and lift machinery.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Perform manual work in a variety of cleaning and related duties in and around university buildings and facilities. This includes locker rooms, showers, bathrooms, sidewalks, front steps, and offices. (50%)
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, buff, and wax floors; dust and clean chalk boards and offices; wash windows, walls, trash cans, and glass doors. Frequently work from a ladder. (40%)
  • Replace light bulbs, clean and polish brass. (5%)
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to the area of building services. (2%)
  • Perform related work as needed by Building Services Lead and Building Services Supervisor. (2%)
  • Report damaged structures and equipment. (1%)
