The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining offices, restrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, training rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells and other public areas within the facility in a clean and sanitary condition at all times.

• Obey all safety requirements and procedures at all times
• Secure the work area and post proper safety notices prior to beginning work
• Floor care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells
• Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting and extracting carpets, stairwells
• Wall cleaning
• Dusting (high and low)
• Routine restroom cleaning or machine shower scrubbing
• Routine office and/or classroom cleaning
• Periodic cleaning of the above
• Maintain equipment and custodial storage rooms, ensuring servicing of items such as vacuums at least once per month or as needed
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Commercial office janitorial experience a plus
• Must be a permanent resident with at least 3 years of U.S. residency
• Ability to pass Federal background check

The custodian will experience hazards such as repetitive movement, bending, stooping and occasional light lifting. Tasks include walking long distances or moving from one work site to another.
