Operations Manager
Construction / Field Operations Environment About the RoleWe are seeking an organized, proactive, and motivated Operations Manager to support a growing construction services organization. This role serves as the central coordination point between customers, field crews, suppliers, and internal leadership. Prior industry-specific experience is not required; strong operational instincts and communication skills are essential.
Position Overview- Title: Operations Manager
- Location: Athens, GA area
- Reports to: Executive Leadership
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Compensation: Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus potential

- Own and manage the operations schedule, serving as the central hub between customers, field crews, and suppliers
- Update and maintain a dynamic, real-time schedule that adapts to changing conditions
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding scheduling and job status
- Assign and schedule crews for active and upcoming jobs
- Coordinate internally to ensure required materials are available and staged for projects
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key customers
- Develop trusted relationships with subcontractor crews and supervisors
- Act as a primary point of contact to ensure smooth coordination across all stakeholders
- Track job progress and completion status
- Review and verify job completion documentation
- Approve weekly subcontractor payments based on verified work completion
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels of materials
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers
- Oversee material preparation and loading for job sites
- Evaluate vendor pricing and material quality to ensure best overall value
- Strong communicator and relationship-builder; comfortable serving as the hub of daily operations
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive
- Able to manage shifting priorities and real-time problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with some communication outside of traditional business hours when needed
- Around 5 years of experience in operations, logistics, project management, or similar roles
- Comfortable using digital tools and scheduling platforms (Trello, or similar)
- Construction or field-services experience preferred but not required
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, not required
