Preferred Summary

Position Summary
Oversee and manage Visitor Services, which include rental venues, rental implementation, and volunteer programs at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. Duties include coordinating scheduling, contracting and business aspects of rentals and visitor services; supervising volunteer program and visitor services staff; managing the Visitor Services Manager; collaborating with the Special Events Manager on rental and event planning; working with the Assistant Director of Operations to ensure safety, maintenance, cleaning, and AV needs for rentals;

coordinating with the Communication Manager on marketing eight rental venues; tracking rental contracts, payments, and return of damage deposits; developing and presenting budgeting to meet strategic objectives. Reports to the Associate Director of Administration and Visitor Services.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
  • Managing budgets, venue logistics, and contracting rentals
  • Basic knowledge of venue, rental, and volunteer programs
  • Improve rental and volunteer experiences
  • Training skills to enhance customer service
  • Detail-oriented
  • Able to create new systems and track annual planning
  • Microsoft Office skills (Teams, Excel, Word)
  • Manage scheduling and customer service situations
  • Knowledge of UGA procurement and business systems preferred
  • Managing and motivating staff across departments

Duties/Responsibilities

Manage rentals, scheduling, and logistics of the SBG rental business. This includes overseeing and managing scheduling, logistics, contracting, and ensuring revenue growth for the SBG rental business across 8 venues.

  • Manage external paid, internal rentals, rental tours, scheduling, contracting, payments & refunds via a rental platform
  • Coordinate external vendors and contractor performance and payments
  • Close rental sales after tours, including contracting and initial deposits; follow up on final payments
  • Grow total paid rentals and annual rental revenue
