Operations Technician

Overview

PRIMARY PURPOSE This position is responsible for using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, and work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble components.

• Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol
• Make sure that schedules are being run exactly as they are listed
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
• Turn off equipment when not in use
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications And Experience

Minimum education, job experience, certifications, skills, knowledge and abilities that incumbent must typically have to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably with or without a reasonable accommodation.

High school degree or equivalent

Knowledge of basic mechanics. Knowledge of machine testing procedures.

Able to perform in 1 of the 3 departments:
Teardown, Assembly, Testing

• Teardown - Buffing, washing, and blowout station
• Assembly - Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assembly
• Testing - Test various components per test code, following standard operating procedures

Adder Pay:
Operate break cylinder cell

Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Perform the same task repeatedly

Continuous mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness to monitor the production process and/or identify defects to standards.

The salary rate for this role is 17.00/hr the actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
