Job Summary

The Material Handler Repackaging – Day shift is an entry-level, full time, hourly position within the Terrapin Beer Company Packaging department where advancement in operations is expected. Under the direction of Packaging Department management team, this position is responsible for assisting with the daily repackaging operations as detailed below. The incumbent will report directly to the Repackaging Shift Supervisor.

The hours for this position are from 7:00am - 3:30pm from Monday – Friday and, as a condition of employment, require mandatory availability for each shift.

Pay
: $15.50 per hour, depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety procedures and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment.
  • As directed, maintain a safe, clean work environment that includes general housekeeping and warehouse duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify all Emergency Stops on all equipment within work areas.
  • Assist Machine Operators in feeding repack materials into appropriate machinery.
  • Monitor finished goods for mis-labeling and possible mixing of products.
  • As directed, move finished products and materials from the Packaging Department and Production work areas utilizing hand trucks, pallets jacks and powered industrial trucks.
  • Perform loading and unloading of bottling and canning raw materials and finished goods from applicable conveyor belts.
  • As directed, stack finished goods onto pallets in a pre-defined stacking pattern in designated areas.
  • Strap pallets of finished goods and of raw materials in accordance with company safety standards.
  • As directed, hand label bottles and packaged goods with appropriate date stamps.
  • As directed, utilize various chemicals to clean machinery in department in adherence with safety standards and company standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
