Job SummaryAs a Mechanic, you’ll play a critical role in the overhaul, repair, and assembly of advanced jet engines that power commercial and military aircraft around the world. Working in a hands‑on, team‑driven environment, you’ll apply your mechanical expertise to ensure engines are restored to peak performance, safety, and reliability.
What You Will Do- Work as a member of a team responsible for turbine engine, engine module, or component maintenance according to published work instructions and approved technical data.
- Utilize common hand tools and a wide variety of tooling and fixtures to assemble, disassemble, and test a jet engine.
- Ensure all phases of assembly and disassembly as specified by work instructions comply with required self‑inspection or peer inspection of critical processes, maintaining adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor and ensure processes meet safety, quality, and delivery objectives.
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Aviation engine overhaul and repair experience.
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or Powerplant (P) Certificate.
- Hands‑on experience in disassembly, inspection, assembly, or turbine engine test operations.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
