Winpak Films is looking for a Quality Control Technician to join their Quality teambased out of Senoia, Georgia.

Reporting to the Process Engineering team, the Quality Control Technician ensures product quality and process consistency. This role involves testing film samples, reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Standards of Compliance (SOCs), maintaining accurate records, and effectively communicating results to operators, leads, and supervisors. Your work supports continuous improvement and helps maintain the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality checks on the production floor and in the laboratory.
  • Review manufacturing orders, product specifications, work instructions, and procedures to verify product compliance.
  • Conduct mechanical and physical property tests on designated equipment.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and work instructions to maintain consistent, accurate results.
  • Respond promptly to order or blend changes, verifying that products meet specifications.
  • Report quality issues immediately to operators, lead operators, and shift supervisors.
  • Remove non-conforming products from the production stream.
  • Participate in daily Process Engineering meetings and provide updates on testing and findings.
  • Communicate quality-related activities clearly with internal stakeholders, contributing to process improvements.
  • Review operator QC documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain understanding of calibration procedures and testing equipment.
  • Train new operators and personnel as required.
  • Investigate and follow up on process incidents; support MRB creation and resolution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Process Engineering Manager, Senior Process Specialist, or Director of Operations.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the plastics industry and/or lab environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and familiarity with testing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical education, background, or degree.
  • Experience with ISO standards.
  • Certification or training in Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.
  • Experience with mechanical and physical property testing equipment.
Working Environment &

Physical Requirements
  • Work in manufacturing, warehouse, and standard laboratory settings.
  • Daily use of computers, testing equipment, and cutting tools.
  • Ability to lift and transport product samples and retains (up to 40 lbs), occasionally using stairs.
  • Regular standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and manual handling.

This is a full-time position.

This position is 100% onsite in Senoia, GA.

Wage Range: $20/hour
