Position: Contract Position - Packaging Technician I in Athens, GA @ 37366775 - Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Duration: 5+ months
Pay Rate: $20/hr on w2 without benefits

Duties
  • Package vaccines and run machinery.
  • Label and package finished goods 40 hours/week.
  • Perform labeling, inspecting, and packaging of vaccines.
  • Operate packaging equipment ensuring target line rates are met.
  • Collaborate effectively with other functional groups to achieve production goals in a timely manner.
  • Operate packaging equipment (e.g., labelers, pick‑and‑place, heat tunnel, vision systems, forklift, etc.) and inspect product accurately and efficiently to meet quality guidelines.
  • Perform equipment change‑over and set‑up.
  • Initial troubleshooting for packaging equipment issues (e.g., labelers, pick‑and‑place, heat tunnel).
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP documentation and procedures, read and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures, and prepare QA line clearances (e.g., small‑volume line).
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Maintain facilities and equipment as required by Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Cross‑train in other areas within the department as required to meet business needs.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Shift Line Leader or Supervisor.
  • Communicate processing needs to co‑workers.
  • Communicate progress several times a day to the shift line leader and/or Supervisor.
  • Communicate event occurrences to shift line leader and/or Supervisor (escalation process).
  • Communicate facility and inventory related needs daily.
  • Monitor process against manufacturing records, data capture forms and Standard Operating Procedures; participate in daily performance review.
  • Complete batch tickets with materials consumed during execution.
  • Provide feedback on feasibility of improvement proposals.
  • Adhere to defined process sequences.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the HSE Program.
  • Work safely and responsibly.
  • Support safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify and report unsafe work habits, conditions, and/or practices.
Skills
  • 2 to 3 years manufacturing experience.
  • Detail oriented with effective communication skills and quality conscious.
  • Equipment/process troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs; basic math and computer skills.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of related experience.
  • Forklift certified.
Education
  • HS diploma;
    Associate's preferred or equivalent experience.
