Program Management Interns are responsible for creating and maintaining work instructions for the program management department, and serve as expediters for customer parts. Interns also ensure performance and quality of manufactured products conform to established company and regulatory standards, agency guidelines, and customer requirements. Interns can expect to gain experience in business communication (technical, presentation, and professional interpersonal), problem-solving, CNC Machining processes, Inventory and Data Management, Procurement & Supply Chain processes, ERP utilization, aerospace industry standards (AS9100), and general manufacturing and quality management systems.
Generally, interns work a minimum of twelve (12) hours per week during standard office hours, typically in regularly scheduled blocks of at least three (3) hours each. During short-term scheduled school holiday and semester breaks, interns may be authorized to work up to forty (40) hours per work week.

- Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets; write simple and complex formulas in Excel; may create charts, graphs, pivot tables, etc.
- Communicates clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing (English) and follows verbal and written instructions
- Follows all safety policies and procedures; consistently utilizes all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Performs other tasks and/or assignments as required
- Regular attendance on-site at the workplace is required
- Program Management Interns must be actively enrolled in pursuit of an undergraduate Business degree at an accredited college or university. Preferred majors are management or supply‑chain related fields.
- Student overall GPA of 2.5 or higher, and in‑major GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
Relevant work experience is not required; however, candidates with familiarity or work/internship experience in aerospace manufacturing, machine shop, or other metal manufacturing industry are preferred.
Other RequiredSkills and Abilities
- Demonstrated math proficiency is required (add, subtract, multiply, divide using fractions and whole numbers and to convert fractions to decimal equivalents), as evidenced by acceptable grades in relevant math coursework.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience reading & accurately interpreting shop blueprints, sketches, and other technical information/instructions is preferred.
- Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility, sit for long periods to perform job duties.
- Occasionally lift, carry (short distances), and push/pull up to 50 pounds using peer assistance and/or other lifting & material handling equipment.
- Occasionally reach overhead and reach out or down to floor level to perform duties.
- Occasionally climb steps, stairs, or ladders.
- Occasionally bend, crawl, stoop, squat, or kneel.
- Frequently uses hand or fingers to manually inspect parts and operate computer and peripheral equipment.
- Excessive noise - hearing protection required (occasionally).
- Dust, smoke, mist, fumes/vapors (occasionally).
- Extreme temperatures (occasionally).
- Hazardous equipment including forklifts, hand tools, cranes or other lifting devices, and other equipment used in a machine shop environment (occasionally).
The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, and use of safety footwear may be required.
