Job DescriptionAptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Aseptic Manufacturing Technician for a contract position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Athens, GA. This is a 10+ month contract opportunity.
This role is responsible for the preparation of vaccine components within a highly regulated, aseptic clean room environment. The ideal candidate will utilize virus and cell culture techniques and adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures and USDA regulations. The work schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, with some weekend and holiday work required.
Responsibilities- Perform activities associated with the preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment utilizing virus and cell culture techniques according to USDA regulations
- Ensure compliance to the Standard Operating Procedures during execution of processes
- Assist with training and coaching of current and new employees on required skills
- Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner; maintain technical data and support documentation
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; elevate production flow disturbances
- Demonstrate a visible and tangible commitment to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs and initiatives
- Participate and provide support to site projects and initiatives, including deviation and change control management
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Clean room and aseptic technique knowledge
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
- Basic math skills and equipment/automation troubleshooting skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Biology Degree or related field
- One year or more of laboratory experience and/or manufacturing experience
up to $20.00 per hour
