, is seeking a new Monofilament Processor to join our Team at the Athens, GA facility! Join a highly regulated medical device manufacturing environment where quality, accuracy and teamwork matter.

As a Monofilament Processor
, you will operate specialized production equipment used to process Monocryl and PDS fibers into components for finished medical products.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery, following detailed procedures, solving production challenges and knowing that every step of their work contributes to products that make a difference.

• High school diploma or GED required
• Successful completion of a background check required
• Must be able to work on-site

• Operate production equipment used to manufacture medical device components and finished products.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers and line-clearance activities.
• Monitor production equipment and report operational or quality concerns.
• Troubleshoot minor production issues and notify the supervisor or lead when maintenance or repairs are required.
• Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
• Clean and maintain equipment according to established procedures.
• Create and verify product tickets, labels and production information.
• Complete Device History Records, production logs and other required documentation accurately.
• Follow Good Documentation Practices, written specifications and established safety procedures.
• Participate in continued training and demonstrate flexibility across multiple processing functions.

Depending on production needs and training, you may support several stages of monofilament processing:

• Operate rack winding equipment to wind Monocryl and PDS fibers for further processing.
• Create and verify tickets and labels.
• Verify moisture content is within required specifications.
• Load materials into nitrogen and vacuum chambers.
• Confirm chambers are properly sealed.
• Complete Device History Records and required production forms.

• Load fiber racks into the appropriate annealing ovens.
• Select the correct processing cycle.
• Perform scheduled oven checks to ensure equipment remains within specification.
• Review charts for accuracy and verify all cycle requirements have been met.
• Monitor oven-cleaning schedules and identify equipment requiring cleaning.

• Unload annealing ovens and transport materials to the appropriate scour tank.
• Process materials using the correct cycle and specifications.
• Clean annealing ovens as required.
• Complete all related manufacturing documentation.
• Load racks onto bulk-spooling equipment.
• Thread fiber through the required guides and onto the spool.
• Use the HMI system to select the correct material and size.
• Operate bulk-spooling equipment and inspect completed spools for defects.
• Create and verify tickets and complete required production records.

• Identify, remove and replace defective strands.
• Cut strands from racks and confirm required lengths.
• Wrap, organize and label strands for the next processing stage.
• Pull required samples and verify product labels.
• Complete Device History Records using Good Documentation Practices.

• Prepare foil pouches according to product specifications.
• Perform pouch tear-down testing to verify packaging quality.
• Create and verify expiration-date labels.
• Use barcode scanners to confirm product tickets and labels.
• Prepare suture products for the next packaging and processing stage.
• Record required production and quality information accurately.
