Annual Giving Coordinator
This position serves as the annual giving liaison for 3-4 assigned schools, colleges, and units and is responsible for developing and executing unit-specific and central annual giving strategies, providing regular reporting on key performance metrics, and ensuring best practices are utilized in all annual giving initiatives. This position plans and executes a full calendar of central direct mail campaigns annually, spanning large-scale institutional appeals and smaller, targeted solicitations.
This role assists with special campaigns throughout the year that focus on increasing UGA’s alumni participation rate. This position is also responsible for managing the annual giving matching gift program including software management, reporting and analytics, and future state recommendations.
This position is structured as a permanent position within the Division of Development & Alumni Relations. We are unable to sponsor a work visa for this position.
Additional Schedule Information8:00am–5:00pm;
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends may be necessary to meet business needs
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications- Two years or more experience in higher education fundraising or related field
- Advanced skills in Excel, including manipulating large datasets accurately and efficiently
- Exhibits behavior that supports the mission, vision, and values of the University of Georgia
- Self-starter, takes initiative, and can work independently as well as in a team environment
- Exemplary communications skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple, complex projects simultaneously
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrates a commitment to outstanding customer service
- Advanced computer skills in comparing data and logic
- New media proficiencies
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, database management, and email skills

- Plan and implement multi-channel annual giving strategies for assigned schools, colleges, and units, including direct mail, email, digital, phone, texting, etc.
- Coordinate special giving campaigns for assigned schools, colleges, and units.
- Advise school, college, and unit development staff on annual giving best practices and coordinate school, college, and unit involvement with central annual giving initiatives.
- Analyze key performance metrics for annual and special giving campaigns and provide reports to school, college, and unit liaisons.
- Serve as the lead annual giving liaison on the team and coordinate efforts among the other annual giving liaisons as needed.
- Plan and execute a full calendar of central direct mail campaigns annually, including partnering with the division’s communications department (DARCOMM) to create design and messaging, with the central annual giving team to coordinate with schools, colleges, and units, with advancement services to create proper queries and selections, and with vendors to execute the project as needed.
