Position SummaryThis position will lead CAES’ annual giving efforts by conducting scheduled face-to-face meetings, Zoom meetings, phone calls and exchanging emails with prospective CAES donors with the goal of qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding these individuals as appropriate. Annual goals for meetings, dollars raised, and other critical metrics will be established and agreed upon with the Director of Development. A key role of the position will be to assist with the identification of new major gift prospects.
Additionally, the position will be responsible for CAES’ overall annual giving efforts through coordination with UGA’s central Annual Giving Office and the CAES DAR team.
- Excellent organization, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and generate creative solutions in order to advance the college’s efforts to maintain and strengthen high-quality relationships with donors
- Excellent computer literacy and demonstrated skill using programs for preparation and dissemination of communication materials
- Experience with development, writing, marketing/PR, and/or donor-related communications
- Works well in a team setting or independently using a solution-based approach to handling daily tasks
- Experience working in forward-facing donor roles, including frontline fundraising experience
- Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Work weekends and some extended hours, including travel, during scheduled events.

Leadership Annual Giving & Donor Engagement (55%)
- Lead CAES’ annual giving efforts by conducting scheduled face-to-face meetings, Zoom meetings, phone calls and exchanging emails with prospective CAES donors.
- Cultivate donor relationships, attend strategic meetings, and represent CAES at a high-level at special events and other institutional engagements.
- Assist with the identification and referral of new major gift prospects ($50,000+) to Director of Development for distribution. When appropriate, some major gift solicitation may be encouraged.
- In consultation with the Senior Director of Development and Signature Events Coordinator, lead Signature Events sponsorship initiatives.
- Complete managerial processes critical to travel, scheduling meetings, and fundraising performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other UGA Schools, Colleges and Units to maximize donor experience and potential.
Annual Giving (35%)
- Serve as the CAES point-of-contact for UGA’s central Annual Giving Office to coordinate campaigns such as Impact Mailers, Beat Week, Dawg Day of Giving, and other centralized projects.
- In consultation with the Director of Development and Central Annual Giving Office, develop and implement additional annual giving efforts via mail, email, and/or social media, such as Give a Tee Get a Tee, the Brick Walkway, and other special initiatives.
- Design and implement fundraising strategies that serve to elevate donors from annual giving- to leadership annual giving-level prospects.
- Maintain and manage physical and online donor files and annual giving reports.
Managerial, Leadership, and Additional Responsibilities (10%)
- Co-manage the CAES Student Philanthropy Council, including recruitment, selection, monthly meetings and activities, communication, and budget.
- Attend division and development staff meetings and events.
- Perform additional job-related duties and special projects as assigned by the Dean or Senior Director of Development.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience
- 3-5 years of professional fundraising experience
