Overview
Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a Preadmission Testing Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Piedmont Athens-Regional Hospital. The preadmission testing position works Monday through Friday, 8:30–17:00, offering a consistent and flexible lifestyle.
Responsibilities- Examine, evaluate, and treat patients with serious medical conditions, illness or injuries.
- Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in the patient’s medical record.
- Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
- Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
- Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.

- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing (Required)
- Masters degree in Nursing (Required) or
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board (Required)
- Experience is preferred
- ACLS Upon Hire Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
- PA - Physician Assistant Licensed in the State of Georgia with updated NCCPA certification (Required)
- ACNP - Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing (ACNP/FNP) in Georgia (Required)
