Family Nurse Practitioner

Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner - Athens, GA

Main Street Family Care is expanding and seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our full-time team.

• Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID and other upper respiratory illnesses
• Performing minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
• Suturing
• Splinting
• Managing general orthopedic evaluations
• Reviewing X-rays (with radiologist over-read)
• Providing general dermatology care
• Treating general eye problems
• Interpreting general EKGs
• Applying emergency management skills
• Offering general GYN expertise
• Managing pediatric patients of all ages
• Conducting occupational medicine evaluations
• Providing telemedicine services

Open extended hours, 7 days a week:

• Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m.
  
  - 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m.
  
  - 4:00 p.m.

• Week 1:
  Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON) and Sunday (ON).
• Week 2:
  Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF) and Sunday (OFF).

• Family Nurse Practitioner board certification (required)
• MSN or higher (new graduates welcomed)
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain DOT certification (cost covered)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office suite (preferred)
