Staff RN – Naperville – Pediatrics

Full‑time position (32 hours per week).

Working hours:

Monday–Thursday 7:30am–7:00pm, Friday 8:00am–4:00pm, Saturday 8:00am–12:00pm.

Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, provide high‑quality support to physicians in meeting patient medical needs.
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, prepare them for physicians, take vital signs, record medical history/symptoms, and ensure medical chart/lab test results are available and complete.
  • Perform telephone triage, patient education, handle physician phone calls, and process pharmacy calls. May assist by setting up appointments or arranging hospital tests or admissions.
  • Administer immunizations and minor treatments as prescribed; record and document all such activities in the chart.
  • Assist physicians with procedures as necessary.
  • Clean and stock patient examination rooms, prepare instruments for procedures, and maintain a list of needed medical supplies.
  • Complete paperwork such as ordering lab tests, x‑rays, school/work notes, and other required documentation.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and check/restock medication cabinets as necessary.
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns as liaison between physician and patient.
  • Report all test results to patients as directed by the physician.
  • Perform OSHA controls and assist in narcotic counts.
  • Perform other projects and duties related to department objectives.
  • Maintain positive teamwork, accept constructive criticism, and follow work rules.
  • Use current nursing practices to provide patient care, focusing on patient needs and exemplifying service excellence, respect, and cooperation.
  • Act as patient advocate by being the initial contact for patient‑related issues.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current Illinois RN licensure.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Minimum one year of professional nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting (new graduates may be considered under specific circumstances).
Compensation and Incentives

Base pay range: $27.00‑$38.50 per hour; actual pay determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
