Presbyterian Homes of Georgia, Inc. is searching for a dynamic, talented, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Director of Nursing for the Presbyterian Village, Athens campus.
ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Nursing, RN will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and supervising staff and daily functions and activities in the three levels of health services. They will coordinate personal care and assure holistic, therapeutic, restorative, and rehabilitative care in accordance with accepted nursing, assisted living, and memory care/support standards and all state and federal regulations.
- Supports Presbyterian Homes of Georgia's mission & commitment to providing exceptional quality care to residents.
- Provides coaching and leadership to Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care/Support staff to ensure that the culture of exceptional service is maintained and enhanced.
- Supervises and coordinates personal care activities throughout Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care/Support areas according to facility policies and procedures to ensure quality care is maintained and provided to all residents.
- Provides direct supervision for Charge Nurses, CNAs, and other Nursing staff, as well as staff in Assisted Living and Memory Care/Support areas.
- Makes daily rounds, reviews daily reports, and other quality measures to ensure that quality standards of personal care are met.
- Assesses and provides input to Administration regarding care and standards in all assigned areas.
- Supervises and educates staff to help ensure they possess the necessary knowledge and skills to provide quality care to residents.
- Participates in the weekend call rotation as assigned.
- Enhances relationships and understanding among staff, residents, family members, consultants, outside agencies, the medical director, and physicians by maintaining open communication and a consistently professional attitude.
- Reviews any quality reports and participates in addressing ways to improve quality services.
- RN license in Georgia.
- Strong commitment to ensuring a culture of quality service.
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory/leadership position in nursing is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supervising and leading nursing staff.
- Previous experience in Skilled/Long‑Term Care.
- Previous experience in Assisted Living and Memory Care/Support is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state long‑term care rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of Assisted Living and Memory Care/Support regulations.
- Strong desire to work with senior adults.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills are required.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems or similar database systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
