Job Overview
This full-time night position (7pm-7am) is in the Med Surg 2:
Pulmonary Dept. on a 12-bed unit located in the new Main Tower. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with respiratory issues, collaborating with hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists. The nurse coordinates patient care, manages operational issues, and supports staff, adhering to organizational policies.
Qualifications include a nursing program graduate with at least one year of hospital experience, current Georgia RN license or multi-state license, and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications are two or more years of hospital experience, a bachelor's degree, and specialty certifications.
ResponsibilitiesAdditional responsibilities involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, maintaining standards, and communicating effectively with staff and leadership. Patient ratios vary based on acuity and volume, with support for professional growth and accountability.
