The Registered Professional Nurse is an integral part of Nursing Services and reports to the Clinic Manager. This position is primarily responsible for providing professional clinical nursing care and patient education to eligible patients. Additionally, this position works closely with nursing staff, clinicians, administrative staff, patients, and their families to coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care. In collaboration with the Clinic Lead Physician and interdisciplinary healthcare team members, this position supports the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered healthcare services that promote positive patient outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience.
This is a partial year position off the months of June and July.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies- Strong clinical nursing skills applicable to ambulatory care setting, including immunization administration, medication administration and IV therapy.
- Knowledge of age specific, developmental, and cultural factors influence patient health and care needs.
- Competency in professional nursing practice, including accurate documentation, critical thinking, communication, and adherence to privacy/confidentiality standards.
- Ability to perform and document patient assessments, triage, nursing interventions, patient education, follow up care, and patient disposition.
