We are currently looking to hire an
** Experienced Veterinary Technician

** Animal Emergency Hospital of Gainesville
** in Gainesville, Georgia!

** Salary:** $18-25 per hour, depending on licensure and experience

* Schedule:

** Full time. Overnights, weekends, and holidays are required

** provides urgent and critical care to pets in the Gainesville, GA community. Our collaborative, teaching-focused team works in a fast-paced ER environment with a steady caseload.

Technicians here play a hands-on role in triage, stabilization, anesthesia, and advanced diagnostics, supported by strong staffing ratios (2–4 techs per DVM) and modern equipment including in-house IDEXX labs, digital radiography, and ultrasound.

** Who You Are:**
* ** Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Georgia
** is strongly preferred
* ** 2 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
*** Prior emergency and critical care experience a plus
* Passion for working with animals and their owners
* Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
* Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
* Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
* Skilled in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
* Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
* Confident with medical math and drug calculations
* Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
* Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
* And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
