Position Summary
This technician is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing the performance of all Molecular Diagnostic test procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of bacterial, viral, and fungal diseases of animals.
Minimum QualificationsRequires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2‑year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Molecular Diagnostic test procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of bacterial, viral, and fungal diseases of animals.
- Perform Molecular Diagnostic test procedures for the diagnosis of animal and human diseases under BSL2, enhanced BSL2, and BSL3 conditions.
- General lab maintenance. Maintain a clean organized environment with adequate inventory at all times.
Lift 40 pounds unassisted. Stand, walk or sit for long periods of time.
