THE ROLE
** Your role as the Quality Technician I will be to perform quality control checks on Trojan products to ensure they meet our standards for safety, efficiency and quality. You will ensure that the products that leave our facility meet the expectations of our consumers and distributors. The Quality Technician will follow all safety requirements and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
** THE DAY TO DAY
*** Perform dock audits
* Record inspection and test results.
* Maintain Quality Assurance Department records, both hard copy and electronic copy
* Report all questionable items, materials and/or processes to appropriate management for analysis and disposition
* Perform simple quality tests, casting/pasting inspections, curing released, voltage, gravity, etc.
* Perform acid receiving analysis and load acceptance.
* Perform battery autopsy analysis and identify failure modes.
* Assists QA Engineer with data collection and analysis.
* Understand the battery manufacturing process from receiving through shipping.
* Review circuit tending paperwork.
* Troubleshoot any conditions that adversely affect product quality.
* Make recommendations for adjusting equipment.
* Fully perform QA procedures in all plant and shipping areas.
* Perform electrical testing/analysis of all battery types.
* Available for various shifts, and overtime
** EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
*** High School Diploma, GED, or greater.
* Read, write, and speak basic English
* Previous manufacturing and plant experience – 1 years preferred
* Some formal QA training
* Ability to use hand tools and learn specific machine controls, gauges, etc.
* Understand specifications and labels associated with hazardous material
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
