Piper Companies is seeking a QC Analytical Lead to join a global pharmaceutical company located in Athens, GA through a 6-month contract with very strong potential to extend or convert to permanent. The QC Analytical Lead will focus primarily on providing technical insight and leadership to individuals who are working in-lab. This is not a hands-on, laboratory-based role; however the ideal candidate will have past experience working in a laboratory setting.
Responsibilities- Provide oversight of data review processes and maintenance of data integrity standards
- Coordinate team scheduling and shift coverage to ensure operational continuity
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical troubleshooting support
- Lead training initiatives, performance coaching, and staff development
- Offer guidance and support for analysts in resolving technical questions and challenges
- Review laboratory data to ensure quality and readiness for release
- Provide operational leadership and team support during the transition to a new laboratory facility
- Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field is preferred
- Advanced analytical chemistry background in a laboratory setting; looking for someone who has a past background doing benchwork, but now can provide technical insight and operational leadership to individuals who are currently hands‑on
- Strong leadership/managerial experience, specifically in a cGMP/FDA‑regulated environment
- Experience with data review/data integrity, ideally in a related pharmaceutical space
- Desired expertise includes strong experience with HPLC, GC, general analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, pH and wet chemistry knowledge, analytical lab operations
- Pay rate is flexible, depending on years of relevant experience
