Minimum QualificationsRequires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2‑year degree, or professional certificate. Contact Human Resources for evaluation of alternate education or experience.
Position SummaryThis research coordinator position is within the Clinical Affective Neuroscience lab directed by Dr. Gregory Strauss. The coordinator will be involved in the clinical aspects of the research program and day‑to‑day responsibilities for the research protocol.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies- Basic understanding of scientific and medical terminology and research.
- Skill in statistical interpretation and data analysis using Excel, Access, SPSS, and related software.
- Detail‑oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills for interviewing volunteers, coordinating with staff, and conducting experimental sessions.
- Ability to independently perform or lead research activities.
- Ability to participate in study design and preparation of technical procedures and reports.
Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate with the principal investigator to ensure clinical research and related activities comply with federal, university and sponsor regulations and procedures.
- Schedule, recruit, interview participants and perform neuropsychological and computerized testing (collecting clinical, cognitive, and fMRI data). Handle petty cash for participant incentives.
- Supervise data entry for the UGA site, upload data to the online system, and coordinate with lab coordinators at other sites.
