Duties & Responsibilities- Laboratory Work — 70% of time
- Data Analysis — 20% of time

Student Assistant - FLSA: Non-Exempt
- FTE: 25
Candidate will be responsible for basic soil chemical, physical, and biological analyses and will be encouraged to work on their own research project. Candidate may be asked to occasionally work outside or in the laboratory environment, as well as work on data collection, curation, and analysis.
Education, Experience & LicensureOpen to undergraduate students at UGA and other USG schools, preference for those enrolled in a degree in soils and water, community forestry and arboriculture, and forestry.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & CompetenciesPreferred candidates will have experience in laboratory work and safety, fieldwork and safety, data analysis, writing, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Physical DemandsThis position includes some standing, computer work, outdoor work with potential exposure to weather conditions.
