Duties/ Responsibilities
- Horticulture crop care including potting, transplanting, trellising, pest monitoring, manual pollinations, data recording, weeding, use of weed-eater and application of herbicides. Harvesting will also be required.
- Lab work involving fruit quality analysis, data entry, and seed processing and cataloging.

SummaryThe Research Assistant will help with all aspects of Dr. Ogden’s CEA breeding program. This will involve a combination of greenhouse, lab, and field work with primary location at Bledsoe Research Farm in Williamson.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or CompetenciesBasic horticulture skills are required for this position.
Physical Demands- Work includes presence in hot, humid conditions.
- Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds max.
- Bending and stretching to provide crop care.
