Research Assistant/Associate
Position Summary
Candidate will be responsible for basic soil chemical, physical, and biological analyses and will be encouraged to work on their own research project. Candidate may be asked to occasionally work outside or in the laboratory environment, as well as work on data collection, curation, and analysis.
Responsibilities- Laboratory Work – 70% of time
- Data Analysis – 20% of time
- Field Work – 10% of time

Open to undergraduate students at UGA and other USG schools; preference for those enrolled in a degree in soils and water, community forestry and arboriculture, and forestry.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies- Experience in laboratory work and safety, and fieldwork and safety, data analysis, writing, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
This position includes some standing, computer work, outdoor work with potential exposure to weather conditions.
