Duties/ResponsibilitiesCrop harvesting, postharvest experiments, sample preparation in the laboratory, produce quality‑related analyses, upkeep of laboratory space, and data entry.
Position SummaryPerform a variety of duties involved in research projects within Dr. Deltsidis’ program, including fruit and vegetable crop harvesting, postharvest experiments, sample preparation, and quality analyses. Lab space upkeep and data entry are also part of the role. All tasks are performed under the direction of the lab manager.
Education, Experience, Licensure & CertificationHigh School Diploma with experience working in agriculture/horticulture preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesUnderstanding of verbal or written instructions and the ability to work well with others. Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical DemandsBending, standing, walking in varying environments, both inside and outside. Lifting up to 50 pounds. Driving as needed for job duties.
