Laboratory Assistant - Habteselassie

Position Summary

The Laboratory Assistant - Habteselassie will conduct soil and water sample collection and analysis in the greenhouse and field, and perform general laboratory and greenhouse upkeep.

• Soil and water analysis in the laboratory (65% of time).
• Soil and water collection in the greenhouse and field (25% of time).
• Laboratory and greenhouse upkeep and maintenance (10% of time).

• Some training in soil and water sciences.
• Knowledge of aseptic and molecular microbiological techniques and soil enzyme assays.
• Laboratory skills and experience in aseptic and molecular microbiology preferred.
• Willingness to work outdoors; driving license required.

• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Able to work in greenhouse and outdoors during the summer.

Monday‑Friday, 8‑5 pm. Salary: $15.00 hourly.
