Assistant Research Scientist – CCRC’s National Glycoscience Resources Laboratory (University of Georgia)

PhD in Chemistry, glycobiology, biochemistry, molecular biology or related studies.

• Prior expertise in glycobiology, structural characterization of glycoconjugates using analytical techniques and project management and leadership experience.

• Conduct research to develop new tools and methods for structural characterization of glycoproteins and polysaccharides using MS, HPLC, HPAEC, or NMR techniques, and publish results and obtain independent funding.
• Write and edit manuscripts and review manuscripts on glycoscience topics to increase publication output.
• Supervise laboratory technicians, postdocs and research personnel in service and research projects, including characterization of glycoconjugates in collaboration with investigators from outside UGA.
• Write detailed comprehensive reports on data produced in the laboratory on structural characterization of polysaccharides and glycoproteins.
• Review reports produced by other lab members for accuracy and high quality to support manuscript publication.
• Teach and organize hands‑on and virtual training courses and workshops on glycoconjugates for participants from universities, research institutes and government agencies.
