• Data formatting and data analysis – 50% of time
• Manuscript preparation – 30% of time
• Communication with supervisor and mentoring graduate students – 20% of time

The focus of the position will be on spatial population dynamics, with an emphasis on understanding how movement and resource selection influence survival. A secondary emphasis will be on development of power analysis tools in the R package ‘unmarked’.

PhD in wildlife ecology, biostatistics, or a related discipline.

Preference will be given to applicants with a strong publication record in the required areas of expertise.

• Experience with movement models, survival models, and spatial capture‑recapture models.
• Experience with R and Bayesian inference.
