Post Doc - Cunningham Lab

Duties/Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory research, experimental design, and perform experiments including DNA/RNA/Protein extractions, PCR, quantitative real-time PCR, protein gels and assays, microscopy, single cell disassociations, preparation of single cell libraries, QC of sequencing libraries, and project management of sequencing library runs. Perform standard life history analyses of insects under control and experimental conditions and manage insect colonies (50%).
• Conducing bioinformatic, microscopy image, and data analyses, including QC and analysis of experimental data from functional genomic, epigenetic, microscopy, and single cell RNA-seq experiments (30%).
• Prepare manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals, present project objectives and experiments at national and international meetings, mentor students, and assist other laboratory members with experiments as needed (10%).
• Other duties as assigned (10%).
