Senior Research Associate
The complex, multidisciplinary nature of the funded project involves an experienced senior research scientist that has extensive experience in both carbohydrate chemistry and synthetic chemistry with an emphasis in the synthesis and characterization of complex carbohydrates from plants. The employee will develop chemical biology tools and strategies for improvement of fermentation processes. Additionally, the position involves that the employee attends meetings and prepares reports.
In addition, the employee is responsible to work with the PI to develop new lines of research to prepare proposals to continue and expand on the currently proposed research. The employee will prepare and submit the research reports, publications, and patents to the CBI and BioF:
GREAT centers. The employee will also be responsible for training and co-supervision and graduate undergraduate researchers in lab together with the PI.
Knowledge of analytical, organic, or biochemical research principles and practices. Skill in carbohydrate analysis, organic chemistry techniques, or related laboratory processes. Ability to contribute to collaborative research efforts and work effectively with internal and external partners.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Experimental work in structural analysis of complex carbohydrates from fermentation broths, reductive catalytic fractionation residuals, and glycoenzyme reactions. Duties/Responsibilities
