Position SummaryResearch faculty level position with the potential for promotion in the laboratory of Adam W. Barb studying structural and cellular immunology. The successful candidate is expected to perform high level research in the immune system, oversee and guide an active research team, and actively participate in grant- and manuscript-writing. The anticipated start date is Fall 2026.
Responsibilities- Conduct cutting‑edge research on the structure and function of immune proteins.
- Lead and mentor a research team of postdoctoral fellows and graduate students.
- Write and submit grant proposals and scientific manuscripts.
- Maintain rigorous laboratory standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- PhD in life science, chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and biochemistry skills.
- Experience with protein purification and characterization.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Currently legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Expertise in state‑of‑the‑art characterization of immune proteins from primary human tissues.
- Proficiency in glycobiology and related techniques.
- Excellent publication record in life science or chemistry.
- Experience in grant writing and manuscript preparation.
