Research Assistant/Associate, Research Scientist, Research Analyst, Clinical Research
Position Summary
In collaboration with the broader project team, the Research Associate will support the coordination and implementation of activities across multiple research and evaluation projects related to military and family readiness, including efforts such as the FFiRST Study, Measuring Family Readiness (MFR), and the Personal Financial Readiness (PFR) Evaluation. This individual will contribute to a variety of research activities, including supporting the development and implementation of data collection procedures, assisting with quantitative and qualitative analyses, and contributing to reports, presentations, and other dissemination products for stakeholders and research audiences.
Responsibilities will require initiative, sound judgment, and critical thinking in carrying out established procedures and adapting to evolving project needs. Duties may include travel associated with project activities, professional engagement with participants and stakeholders, and maintaining a strong understanding of project goals, research methods, and study operations. In support of reporting and dissemination efforts, this individual will assist in preparing materials that communicate findings to both program stakeholders and the broader scientific community.
Responsibilities may include utilizing statistical software programs (e.g., SPSS, Mplus) to support data analysis and interpretation for project deliverables. Successful completion of project activities will involve regular collaboration and communication with team members, participation in survey and research material development, support for project coordination and management activities, and involvement in data collection and related research tasks.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of science
Preferred QualificationsPrefer a master’s degree in the field.
Responsibilities- 40%:
Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of research and evaluation activities to assist with progress on project goals and deliverables across multiple projects. - 30%:
Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, publications, summaries, and other dissemination materials intended for a variety of audiences, including program stakeholders and the broader research community. - 30%:
Assist with the development, organization, cleaning, and management of research datasets to support project activities and evaluation objectives.
- Support research and evaluation activities across multiple projects by assisting with the planning, coordination, implementation, and completion of project tasks related to the development of new knowledge, applied research findings, and program evaluation efforts.
- Experience with program evaluation, research coordination, implementation, and data analysis.
- Experience developing written products for a variety of audiences, including academic, professional, and community stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
