Position SummaryThe post-doctoral researcher will work on a variety of projects in quantitative genetics and genomics, ranging from practical to theoretical, developing novel methods to be applied in animal breeding and genetics, and performing analyses in fish data.
Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct research in the lab (80% of time)
- Writing and reporting of research (20% of time)
PhD in Animal Breeding and Genetics, bioinformatics, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of quantitative genetics, genomics, and statistical genetics is a plus.
- Proficiency in R, Unix bash scripting, and BLUPF
90 is highly desired.
