Temporary Laboratory Assistant Position Summary
The position of laboratory assistant will support client projects by conducting laboratory and microbiology analysis, and also conducting product and process tests. The work includes completion of test documentation and report writing.
Duties and Responsibilities- Analytical & Microbiological work and report writing, including running various analytical equipment and writing SOPs for analytical testing.
- Project work, including designing product or process development experiments and executing them.
- Report writing summarizing both analytical and product/process experimentation.
- Knowledge of basic chemistry, microbiology, and food science.
- Work with food ingredients and processing equipment.
- Write reports.
- Understand Standard Operating Procedures and follow them.
- Clean equipment.
Lift 50 pounds of food material. Operate in a standing mode for a number of hours. Wear personal protective equipment and non‑slip shoes in order to clean equipment. Rigorously scrub equipment and utensils.
