Position SummaryThis two‑year position works on a study funded by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources that seeks to develop strategies for effective communication and cooperation with landowners, hunters, and other partners to minimize the risk of Chronic Wasting Disease in Georgia’s white‑tailed deer population. The postdoctoral researcher will design and oversee large‑scale surveys, employ discrete choice modeling, and prepare scientific manuscripts.
The role is supervised by Drs. Gino D’Angelo and Dr. Bynum Boley and involves close collaboration with other research partners at the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
- Coordinating with research collaborators, survey design, execution, and analysis (45% of time).
- Scientific manuscript preparation (45% of time).
- Attending professional meetings to present results (10% of time).
- PhD in a field closely related to human dimensions of natural resource management (e.g., recreation, tourism, wildlife management).
- Demonstrated expertise in social science research and a strong record of scientific publication.
Office duties, driving.
Other Requirements- No P‑Card requirement.
- Driving is required.
- No direct interaction or care of children under 18, no direct patient care, no security access needed.
