Position Summary

The postdoctoral associate will conduct research on a pre‑specified project as well as projects of their own design and publish that research. They will take senior responsibilities such as research mentoring, grant writing, and publishing. Primary responsibilities include managing and implementing tissue engineering studies in the Harbor Lights Laboratory. A research leader with a background in biomaterials and cell biology is needed to coordinate day‑to‑day research activities in the laboratory.

  • Management and implementation of tissue engineering studies in the Harbor Lights Laboratory.
Education / Experience

Applicants must have a Ph.D., or equivalent degree, with a background in Bioengineering or Cell Biology, or a related scientific area.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Familiarity with biomaterials and cellular engineering; preferred knowledge of molecular genetics, biochemistry, histology, and immunological techniques to examine factors affecting cell behavior on biomaterial substrates.

Physical Demands

Standing/sitting for long periods of time in laboratory work.
