Position Summary
This position will be responsible for conducting the molecular and immunological studies required for cancer prevention vaccine development, including immunogenicity assays, MHC tetramer staining and cell sorting, antigen‑reactive T‑cell discovery and characterization, molecular cloning, and MHC genotyping, among other related tasks. The individual will also contribute to the training and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory. Additionally, the position will involve overseeing reagent procurement, ensuring laboratory safety compliance, and assisting with general laboratory management responsibilities.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and CompetenciesExperience with Western Blotting, DNA/RNA isolation, Molecular Cloning, CRISPR, PCR/RT‑PCR, mammalian cell culture, microscopic imaging techniques, mouse models, EliSPOT and other immune assays.
Duties and Responsibilities- Independently conduct the molecular and immunological studies required for cancer prevention vaccine development, including immunogenicity assays, MHC tetramer staining and cell sorting, antigen‑reactive T‑cell discovery and characterization, molecular cloning, and MHC genotyping (70% of time).
- Contribute to the training and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory (15% of time).
- Oversee reagent procurement, ensure laboratory safety compliance, and assist with general laboratory management responsibilities (15% of time).
