The Rajao Lab in the Department of Population Health at the University of Georgia is recruiting a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar to work with influenza pathogenesis and control. Our lab’s research interests focus on the interspecies transmission, pathogenesis and control of influenza viruses. Our laboratory uses a wide range of in vitro and in vivo approaches to study influenza virus host range and improve existing or new vaccines and antivirals.

The postdoc will work directly with in vitro and in vivo experiments to evaluate different compounds for control and prevention of influenza viruses in swine and poultry. The candidate will also be involved with other projects in the lab. The postdoctoral fellow will work with an international collaborative group of students, postdocs and researchers and interact with many other virologists at the University of Georgia.
