Position Summary:The Undergraduate Research Assistant will support an NSF-funded project focused on microbial life and biogeochemical processes in sub-seafloor environments. The student will assist the research team with laboratory activities related to environmental microbiology, DNA extraction, metagenomics, metabolomics, and microbial ecology. This position will provide hands‑on experience in molecular biology, environmental sample processing, multi‑omics methods, scientific data analysis, and the study of microbial processes in the deep biosphere.
