Position Summary:

The position will assist with the preparation of nurseries and maintain the upkeep in greenhouses to include planting, recording data accurately, harvesting, crossing, and irrigation in a timely and efficient manner that support the Small Grains Breeding and Genetics research program. This position will also assist in laboratory activities as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or

Competencies:

• Experienced in recording data, seed processing, greenhouse maintenance, and nursery preparation.
• Team Player

Physical Demands:

• Work in the field under varied climate conditions.
• Travel to UGA Research Centers across the state of Georgia during planting and harvesting season.
• Work under heat conditions in the summer.
• Lift up to 30 pounds.
