Position

Purpose:

The Cura Staff member is an essential part of our team, responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all customers. This role involves working collaboratively with colleagues, educating customers about our cocktail bar, taproom, and brewery, and delivering exceptional customer service and hospitality.

Responsibilities
  • Teamwork, Leadership, and Communication:
    • Collaborate effectively with fellow staff members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
    • Demonstrate leadership qualities by taking the initiative and providing support to team members.
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with both colleagues and customers to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Cura, Taproom, and CCBC

    Education:

    • Acquire in-depth knowledge about what Cura offers, including the different cocktails, their ingredients, and the distilling processes.
    • Acquire in-depth knowledge about what our taproom offers, including the different beers and their brewing processes.
    • Educate customers about our bar and brewery, sharing interesting and relevant information to enhance their experience.
    • Stay updated on new products and promotions to provide accurate and engaging information to customers.
    • Thorough knowledge of craft beer, craft cocktails, spirits, bartending, and our menu.
    • Serve cocktails in appropriate glassware, maintaining the correct specifications, and presentation.
    • Serve beer in appropriate glassware, maintaining the correct size and foam level.
    • Perform quality checks before serving any products to guests, identifying and addressing any defects, and notifying the manager if necessary.
    • Capable of performing bartending, hosting, serving, and bar backing duties, including responsible alcohol service, using POS systems, restocking, prepping, and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Hospitality - Customer Service and Attitude:
    • Provide outstanding customer service with a friendly and positive attitude.
    • Greet customers warmly, assist with their inquiries, and guide them through our menu selections.
    • Handle customer feedback and concerns professionally, ensuring a satisfying resolution.
    • Maintain a clean and inviting workspace and overall environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
    • Maintain high standards of hospitality
  • Requirements
    • Prior food and beverage/cocktail bartending experience with a base knowledge and passion for cocktails, spirits, and craft beer preferred.
    • Base knowledge of brewing and distilling processes.
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities.
    • Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
    • Exceptional customer service and hospitality skills.
    • Must be willing to obtain Servsafe Certification and Cicerone Level I Certification.
    • Available to work nights and weekends.

    • Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell.
    • Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms. Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
    • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
