Position Summary

This position provides various support functions to the Catering and Operations managers at the Tifton Campus Conference Center. The position assists with the setup of conferences, training sessions, meetings, etc. The work is routine manual work involving food production, food service operations and general facilities operations.

  • Experience in commercial kitchen operations
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Understand and follow safety procedures
  • Self-directed and able to work independently
  • Friendly and courteous at all times
  • Attention to detail
  • Uses consistent good judgment
  • Ability to handle knives and other sharp items in a safe manner
  • Knowledge of Serv Safe Certification
Physical Demands
  • Basic room setup using conference center standards
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. consistently
  • Bend, stoop, climb, etc.
  • Stand and walk for significant periods of time.
  • Driving to perform duties of the position
