Customer Service Rep
Overview
This is a full‑time position. Primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying each customer’s needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires a defined level of product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop. The associate will efficiently cut and process the complete variety of meat products to achieve maximum yield and gross profit according to Meat Standards, clean work areas, provide customer service, unload stock, and reload salvage.

- Clean work areas and maintain food sanitation standards.
- Provide customer service, unload stock, and reload salvage.
- Participate in required training and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
- Ability to effectively present information to customers, vendors, and other associates in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Complete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell.
- Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds with a reach from 6‑72 inches.
- Frequently lift and move up to 100 pounds with a reach from 6‑72 inches.
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, color, and depth perception.
The work environment is cool, with an average temperature between 34‑36°F, and often wet, humid, and exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold. Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
