As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed.

Schedule and Compensation
  • Starting hourly pay rate: $14.25 to $15.00, depending on skills and experience.
  • Paid training will be provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
  • Part‑time employees are eligible for voluntary benefits, including medical, dental, vision, critical illness, and accident insurance.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • Variable schedule during the work week; average weekly hours 9–10.
  • Availability required during the week before and after major holidays (including weekends) and for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory; utilize technology for communication with supervisors, reporting time, and completing required merchandising activities; interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers; manage entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
  • Holiday support: Provide additional days and extended hours during major holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas; may be required to work on holidays themselves, including weekends.
  • Department resets: Participate in installations and resetting tasks, such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections; notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments; may include evenings or weekend work.
  • Team collaboration: Support other merchandisers within the field organization as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will be working on the sales floor and in back stock rooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons and display fixtures up to 30 pounds daily and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will also kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders throughout the workday.

  • Minimum age 18.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Proficiency with a digital handheld device to open documents and interpret information.
  • Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
