Position Summary

The Regional Director of Wound Care Device Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth for Bechtel Medical's product portfolio within an assigned multi‑state region. This role focuses heavily on building clinical relationships with wound‑care specialists, clinicians, and healthcare providers (70%), while also developing and managing a network of authorized DME dealers and distributors (30%).

Key Responsibilities Clinical Sales & Market Development (70%)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wound‑care specialists, clinicians, hospital staff, long‑term care facilities, and outpatient wound‑care centers.
  • Conduct clinical product demonstrations, in‑services, and education sessions to drive adoption of Bechtel Medical's DME wound‑care solutions.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter resource on wound‑care best practices, product application, and patient outcomes.
  • Identify new clinical opportunities, referral sources, and high‑value accounts within the region.
  • Partner with clinical stakeholders to understand patient needs, treatment pathways, and reimbursement considerations.
  • Develop and execute territory‑specific strategies to increase product utilization and market penetration.
  • Track and report clinical engagement activities, sales pipeline, and performance metrics.
Dealer & Distributor Management (30%)
  • Recruit, onboard, and support new DME dealers and distribution partners within the region.
  • Train dealer staff on product features, clinical benefits, ordering processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor dealer performance, ensuring alignment with sales targets, service standards, and brand expectations.
  • Collaborate with dealers to develop local marketing, outreach, and sales initiatives.
  • Conduct periodic business reviews with dealer partners to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
General Responsibilities
  • Achieve or exceed regional sales targets and KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and territory plans.
  • Represent Bechtel Medical at conferences, trade shows, and regional events.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and market feedback to internal teams.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, operations, and clinical education teams.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of sales experience in medical devices, DME, wound care, or related healthcare markets.
  • Strong understanding of wound‑care clinical environments, treatment protocols, and patient pathways.
  • Proven success managing a multi‑state territory with extensive travel.
  • Experience presenting to clinicians, conducting product demos, and influencing clinical decision‑making.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 80%.
Preferred
  • Clinical background (RN, LPN, PT, OT, WOCN, or similar).
  • Experience signing, training, and managing DME dealers or distributors.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement processes, HCPCS coding, and payer requirements for DME wound‑care products.
  • Prior experience with CRM systems and data‑driven territory management.
